League Rules
OUR COVID-19 STRATEGY, I.E. ANY SITUATION THAT MAY CAUSE THE NFL SEASON TO BE SHORTENED OR CANCELED - PLEASE READ: If for any reason the season were to be canceled at any point, so long as at least 4 weeks have been played by the NFL, we will award prizes based upon the top teams per your league's standings. (There would be no "Toilet Bowl" prize in a canceled season) If for some reason less than 4 weeks were played, your entry fee would be credited to Your BFFL Account for use towards any future leagues! Notice, we specifically state if 4 weeks have been played. If there is some situation where an NFL team has not played 4 games, perhaps because of a BYE week, or their game being postponed, if the NFL has held games for 4 weeks, that would count as enough weeks played for us to then award prizes as detailed above. Anything can happen as we have seen with Covid, and it is an even playing field for all participants, think ahead, and plan accordingly. Also, in any situation where a game for a week is completely canceled that cannot be rescheduled during the fantasy season (i.e. Buffalo/Cincy in the 2022 season), in that extremely unique situation the player's average points scored per game for the season will be inserted into your lineup for that week.
Failure to comply to our rules, policies, sportsmanship expectations detailed herein may result in IMMEDIATE EXPULSION WITHOUT REFUND. In addition, attempts to negatively impact the integrity of the league (i.e. threatening or outright refusal to submit lineups, partaking in bogus trades, disruption of a live draft etc.) will result in an immediate expulsion, without refund, from BestFantasyFootballLeague.com. The BFFL Commissioner may (but is not required to) alter a lineup for any team where a starting lineup is submitted with players who are inactive as a result of being on a Bye Week, suspension, injury, etc. Lineups may also be changed if a very low-ranked player is started over a consensus top player, or for whatever reason if the commissioner sees that the original lineup lessens the competitiveness of the team in question. Tanking in the form of also picking up low-quality players to minimize one’s score is also prohibited. The BFFL Commissioner has the final discretion on all lineup changes. In our leagues you have to play to win every week. The only exception would be a situation where you have locked up a playoff spot, and perhaps do not want to pick up a kicker (for example) to try and win that week, because you would then have to drop a player you want for the playoff run.
Starting Lineup Options:
"Flex" Leagues:
1 QB (quarterback), 2 RB (running back), 3 WR (wide receiver), 1 TE (tight end), 1 FLEX
(choose from one WR, RB, or TE), 1 K (kicker), and 1 DST (Defense/Special Teams).
New Start-Up "Dynasty" Leagues:
1 QB, 3 RB, 4 WR, 1 TE, 2 FLEX (WR, RB, or TE) -
NO K or DST!
"Traditional" Leagues:
1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, and 1 DST.
"SUPERflex" Leagues:
1 QB, 3 RB, 4 WR, 1 TE, 1 FLEX (choose from one QB, WR, RB, or TE), 1 K, and 1 DST.
"MiniFlex" Leagues:
1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 FLEX (choose from one WR, RB, or TE), 1 K, and 1 DST.
"Best Ball" Leagues:
1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 FLEX (choose from one WR, RB, or TE) -
NO K or DST!
DRAFTING STYLE OPTIONS:
"LIVE DRAFT" LEAGUES:
Each team gets 1 minute and 45 seconds to make their pick. Drafts occur
in an online draft room. The "Traditional" and "MiniFlex" lineups will be an 18 round draft, the "Best Ball" and "Flex" lineups 20 round drafts, "SUPERflex" 22 round draft, and new Startup "Dynasty" leagues 24 rounds. Drafts typically take around 2 hours to complete.
"EMAIL/SLOW DRAFT" LEAGUES:
Each team gets up to 12 hours to make their picks. These are SLOW drafts,
which may take up to a week and a half to complete. Please do not join these if you do not have the patience for a slow draft. The "Traditional" and "MiniFlex" starting lineups will be an 18 round draft, the "Best Ball" and "Flex" lineups 20 round drafts, the "SUPERflex" a 22 round draft, and "Dynasty" 24 rounds. We will hold these drafts two ways, (1) with a predetermined draft date and time posted, or (2) where they will begin 24 hours after they are filled (also known as an "Immediate" draft, since it will begin immediately 24 hours after it has filled.). You will know which style of "Email/Slow" draft it is, by looking under when the draft begins on the join a league page.
ALSO, IN THESE LEAGUES, IF YOU ALLOW THE FULL 12 HOURS TO EXPIRE ONCE, YOU WILL BE PICKED FOR AS SOON AS IT IS YOUR TURN FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE DRAFT. Now, you can override this, by simply predrafting players. But if you do not predraft players yourself, in this situation, a pick will be made for you as soon as it is your turn.
"NON-DRAFT" LEAGUES:
Now this one might throw you for a loop, but in our "Non-Draft"
leagues, there are no drafts whatsoever. Who woulda thunk it. All you
do is simply pick the 20 players of your choice for "Flex", "Traditional", or "MiniFlex" leagues ,and 24
for our "SUPERflex" leagues, and then submit a starting lineup each week. There are
absolutely no trades or transactions in these leagues once the first Sunday
of the season begins at 1pm ET. Rosters are locked at that juncture. No
head-to-head matchups, total points leagues instead, where the winners will
be those teams who scored the most points over the first 17 weeks of the
NFL season.
"BEST BALL" LEAGUES!:
Now if you haven't played in a best ball league yet, you are definitely missing out on the fun! Every fantasy gamer should always have at least one “Best Ball” league in their repertoire. What are Best Ball leagues?? They contain no roster management whatsoever after the draft. What you will do is draft 20 players – NO KICKERS OR DEFENSES – and then that is it! You do not have to submit a lineup each week...you will not be able to alter your roster whatsoever after the draft, there will be no trades or transactions once your draft is finished. Your lineup each week of the NFL season will be chosen for you, based upon what would have been your optimal, highest scoring lineup. All of these leagues will use the “Flex” starting lineup structure of 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, and 1 FLEX (RB, WR, or TE). So you draft...the software, each week, will then select the best possible lineup you could have used, based upon your 20 man roster. No head to head matchups, these are all total points leagues. Standings will be based upon highest scoring team, down to the lowest scoring team, as it adds up your points scored each week. These are season-long leagues, and will culminate with week 17 of the NFL season. The 3 highest scoring teams (for full 12 team leagues) in your league will earn a prize! PLUS, WE KICK BACK 85% OF THE POT FOR ALL OF OUR BEST BALL LEAGUES!
Since there are no head to head matchups in these leagues, if your “Best Ball” league is not completely full come draft time, we will run them with anywhere from 4 to 12 teams! Still kick back the same percentages regardless! And always kick back prizes to at least 1/4 (1/6th in our $19.99) of the league. These leagues are fun – and profitable – whether you’re playing with 4 team...9 teams...or 12 teams.
"ONE-WEEK DRAFT" LEAGUES!:
Just remember the first place you ever saw these leagues, once they start catching on like wild fire. What's the problem with current weekly fantasy football leagues? Well, the answer is obvious - there's no draft. We all know drafting is the most fun part of the fantasy season. So, our idea - one-week fantasy leagues - with drafts. BOOM!
This will be just like the one-week fantasy leagues you are already familiar with, where you utilize a salary cap to pick your players. But we of course will be providing no salary cap, you'll get your players the good ol' way...you'll draft them. Drafts will take place in a live online draft room on our site. You will draft 12 players (14 in our SUPERflex), which affords you to take a chance on the guy who is questionable to play on Sunday, or perhaps take extra at a specific position to disallow others from drafting/using that player. NO TRADES OR TRANSACTIONS AFTER THE DRAFT! Then, you simply choose the players you want to then submit into your starting lineup. Strategy, strategy, strategy. These will essentially be one-week seasons. The winners will be the 3 teams (we will pay 1st, 2nd, and 3rd) who scored the most points for the week. IT'S HERE! The best new fantasy product to hit the market. So when we start getting copied, you just remember where you started playing them first.
Since there are no head to head matchups in these leagues, if your “One-Week Draft” league is not completely full come draft time, we will run them with anywhere from 4 to 12 teams! Still kick back the same percentages regardless! And always kick back prizes to at least 1/4 of the league. These leagues are fun – and profitable – whether you’re playing with 4 teams...9 teams...or 12 teams.
ALL NEW "WEEK 14-17" LEAGUES!:
These ALL NEW leagues were made for those misfortunate teams that did not make the playoffs in their league. Well...that was whom they were initially intended for. However, once we came up with them, we realized they were yet another good fantasy offering that really anybody would like to take advantage of! So - of course - ANYBODY can join them! They are very simple, they are essentially a little 4 week mini-season, that of course will span weeks 14 through 17. They will be TOTAL POINTS LEAGUES, so no head-to-head matchups. Standings instead will be from highest scoring team, to lowest scoring team. You may make transactions throughout the 4 week mini-season, however, there will be no trades allowed. That's it!!! Just another wonderful fantasy offering by us. You're welcome. ;-)
Since there are no head to head matchups in these leagues, if your “Week 14-17” league is not completely full come draft time, we will run them with anywhere from 4 to 12 teams! Still kick back the same percentages regardless! And always kick back prizes to at least 1/4 of the league. These leagues are fun – and profitable – whether you’re playing with 4 team...9 teams...or 12 teams.
DYNASTY LEAGUE OVERVIEW:
A Dynasty League is a league where a team keeps all players from year to year. In the first year of the league, each owner acquires a roster of players in a draft. At the end of each season, each owner’s entire roster transfers to the next season. Each season there will be a rookie/free agent draft/waiver process, during which rookies and free agents may be selected. When signing up for a BFFL Dynasty League you are making a commitment to be in an ongoing year-to-year league. You will be competing against the same owners each year. In order to keep the league together and prevent teams from dropping out, we require an initial payment for year one AND year two. Then moving forward you will always be paying a year in advance and your payment will be due by March 1 each year.
DEPOSITS/PAYMENTS TOWARDS A FOLLOWING SEASON ARE COMPLETELY NON-REFUNDABLE. The goal of these Dynasty Leagues is to have a league for life. These are a commitment; yet insanely fun! If you ever choose to leave the league, no refunds will be given, and we will instead attempt to sell your team, while of course taking a 2nd year deposit immediately from anyone purchasing an abandoned team, so that they are now committed to the following year as well. Should an owner decide to leave the league, his team will be put up for sale and the owner will forfeit their pre-paid year. If for whatever reason the league were not to fill, other owners would receive a credit on your pre-paid season. We reserve the right to move players and/or picks between orphan teams in an attempt to make the teams more marketable/sellable. We will NOT pick up free agents - this would strictly be moving players and/or picks between orphan teams. A Dynasty League only comes to an end when we are unable to fill it. One entry per league per customer.
ROSTER REQUIREMENTS
All teams are comprised of 24 players (11 starters and 13 bench players), as follows:
1 Quarterback
3 Running Backs
4 Wide Receivers
1 Tight End
2 Flex Player (RB/WR/TE)
13 Bench Spots
LEAGUE DEADLINES
League Renewal Deadline: By May 15th each year franchises must make their payment for the unpaid season. If payment has not been received by May 15th BFFL reserves the right to declare a franchise as abandoned, and may lock out the owners until payment is received, or sell their "orphaned" team to another owner interested in taking over management. This is a dynasty league, year round interaction and activity is expected.
Annual Rookie/Free Agent Draft/Waivers: June, after the NFL Draft
Each subsequent year after the startup draft, a draft/waivers will be held to distribute rookies/free agents. This will be held in early June after the NFL Draft. The annual rookie/free agent draft/waivers will be held after all league members have renewed for the unpaid season and/or after all orphaned teams have been sold. This will be approximately the first week or two of June. On the rare occasion there are still orphans to be sold, the draft/waivers will be delayed until the league is full. If there is a scheduling conflict, the draft/waivers may also be delayed.
Draft Order (rules for the rookie draft)
The draft order for the annual rookie draft will be determined as follows:
Picks 1-4 (for 12 team leagues) will be decided by reverse order of the standings among non-playoff teams.
Pick 5 and 6 will be the losers of the first round of the Toilet Bowl Championships, with the team with the worst record being the higher pick. Pick 7 will be the loser of the Toilet Bowl Championship, and pick 8 the winner of that game. Pick 9 will be the loser of the 3rd place game, pick 10 will be the winner of the 3rd place game, pick 11 will be the 2nd place team, and pick 12 will be the League Champion.
The annual rookie draft is an NFL-style straight draft, meaning the draft order will be the same as shown above for all rounds.
ROSTER FREEZE
Offseason
*Rosters freeze for all teams after Week 17. The waiver process continues during the playoffs in Weeks 14-17.
No free agent pickups are allowed between the end of Week 17 and the annual rookie draft.
*** If for any reason a Dynasty League simply can not find another owner to take over an orphaned team, the final year that all teams had already paid for will be the last year of that league, and will be played out "redraft" style (meaning it will not continue on after that next season), with the same places still being paid out as would have transpired if it were still a continuing Dynasty League. The league would then disband after that final paid season is played.
Costs:
We provide five entry fee levels to choose from, "A", "AA", "AAA", "Pro", "All-star", and "Hall-of-Famer". The costs per team are $49.99 per "A" team, $99.99 per "AA" team, $249.99 per "AAA" team, $499.99 per "Pro" team, $999.99 per "All-star" team, and $2999.99 per "Hall-of-Famer" team. Please note that the entry fee levels do not necessarily pertain to skill level. While we have labeled the $2999.99 leagues "Hall-of-Famer", that does not mean that the players at that entry fee level are necessarily better than players at the "AA" ($99.99) level, for example.
*** These one time entry fees are the only costs throughout the season! There are no other waiver or transaction costs. You are allowed an unlimited amount of FREE trades and transactions throughout the season!
Refund Policy:
No refunds are allowed for any of our leagues that hold a draft. The reason is twofold. One, you learn your draft position immediately upon paying for your team. It is not fair to allow teams to opt out of a league, after learning their draft position. The draft positions are 100% randomly generated. Part of the skill of our fantasy leagues is building a successful fantasy team, regardless of which draft position you were randomly selected. And the second reason we do not allow refunds for leagues that hold a draft is that the league is closed for registration once you join. The league is full and closed for entry at that point. We can't have people backing out of a full league after they have paid. Especially if their draft is about to begin. You have up to 14 people acting as a community depending upon one another for a league to draft, one team attempting to bow out affects the entire league. We can't have that. When you join a draft league with us, there are other people who depend upon your entry for the league to draft. So refunds are not allowed in our draft leagues for this reason.
Two Exceptions:
(1) If you join a draft league, and for some reason it does not have enough teams to run its draft, at that point you may receive a full refund, or opt to apply your credit towards a future league.
(2) We can however afford you a refund if you join our Non-Draft Leagues, since they do not hold a draft, and since these leagues do not close for registration until the NFL season starts.
Winnings: "Live Draft", and "Email/Slow Draft" Leagues
The bigger investment YOU make, the higher the percentage of the pot kicked back to you! Over 91% of entry fees potentially kicked back!

With the new landmark decision in May of 2018 by the Supreme Court of the United States of America striking down the PASPA (professional and amateur sports protection act) of 1992, in conjunction with the fact that fantasy football had already been established by the United States Congress in the UIGEA (unlawful internet gambling enforcement act) of 2006 as indeed not gambling, but rather as anyone who plays fantasy football knows – a game of skill – we are hopeful that in the near future the framework will be set to allow ALL potential participants (who meet the minimum age requirements) to display their skills and knowledge in participating in the game of fantasy football that they so thoroughly enjoy as a recreational activity, regardless of the state in which they may reside. Stay tuned!
Also, on that note, if you live in a state that is listed above, CONTACT YOUR STATE REPRESENTATIVE and let them know this is ridiculous that it is unclear, or even worse disallowed, from you participating in this game of skill that you love, and that if they can't get on the right side of this issue, you will vote them out, and vote in somebody who will. These state representatives are supposed to be working on YOUR behalf, not against it.

considered games of skill.
BestFantasyFootballLeague.com
rewards the players most
skilled in compiling and managing a team. In our games, if you have the skills and knowledge
necessary to manage your fantasy football team to a prize winning finish, we will happily reward
your time, efforts, and hard work, with your hard-earned prize.
The Commissioner:
The commissioner of a Fantasy Football league is responsible for coordinating and managing the
league.
BestFantasyFootballLeague.com
will serve as the commissioner for all
BestFantasyFootballLeague.com
Fantasy Football leagues. We will therefore be responsible for
resolving any disputes that arise regarding unbalanced trades, alleged rules violations or anything
else.
Drafting Process:
"Draft" Leagues:
After you join a fantasy football league, you will have the opportunity to make changes to the
draft software's draft
cheat sheet
of players, ranked from best to worst. It is recommended that
prior to your draft, you customize your draft
cheat sheet
to rank
the players by your preferences.
If you do not customize your
cheat sheet
, your
cheat sheet
for the draft will be the player
rankings from the draft software's free draft guide as they are listed at the time of your draft. You
may customize your draft
cheat sheet
at
any time
up to and even during your draft.
During the live draft your
cheat sheet
will be used as a fail-safe backup in case your time limit
expires before you make a pick. In the event you should fail to make a pick in the time allowed
for your pick, the draft software will automatically draft a player for you. The player will be the top ranked player on your draft
cheat sheet.
The draft will be an S-style draft with the team picking last in the first round picking first in the
second round and so
on. For example,
• Round 1: Team1, Team2, Team3, Team4, Team5, Team6, Team7, Team8, Team9,
Team10, Team11, Team12
• Round 2: Team12, Team11, Team10, Team9, Team8, Team7, Team6, Team5, Team4,
Team3, Team2, Team1
• Round 3: Team1, Team2, Team3, Team4, Team5, Team6, Team7, Team8, Team9,
Team10, Team11, Team12
• Round 4: Team12, Team11, Team10, Team9, Team8, Team7, Team6, Team5, Team4,
Team3, Team2, Team1
Each team will have 1 minute and 45 seconds per pick to draft a
player.
"Non-Draft" Leagues:
In our "Non-Draft" Leagues, upon registering teams will acquire their players by selecting a list of 20 players (24 in the "SUPERflex" leagues) whom they wish to have on their Regular Season Fantasy Football Teams.
Since these leagues
will not have an actual "draft", teams are allowed to acquire the same
players. Consider it an all-star format, where you are allowed to pick any players from NFL
teams to fill out your roster. Each week you will choose from these players to submit what
you feel is the best lineup for that week. Here's the catch: THERE WILL BE NO TRADES OR
TRANSACTIONS THROUGHOUT THE REGULAR SEASON IN THESE LEAGUES. So not
only will it be important to select high scoring fantasy players, but it will
be equally important to
select those durable players who you deem as most likely to stay healthy throughout the entire
season.
Roster Requirements:
GM's may select a starting lineup each week from their players. Below you will find three
charts. The charts list how many players you MUST star
t at each position for each starting lineup
option we provide.
You may draft/select as little or as many as you'd like at each
position.
Note: Individual defensive players are not drafted; rather, you will draft a team's entire defensive
unit. For the purpose of roster limits, each defensive unit will count as one "player."

Scoring System:
YES, all of our Fantasy Football Leagues DO provide LIVE SCORING!
Each week all of the players in your 'starting lineup' (active players) will earn points based on
actual statistics from NFL games. They will earn statistics based upon the following structure...
*** We have also now added some PPR leagues as well! They will be full point PPR leagues, so players will get 1 point per reception in these leagues. These leagues start with "PPR" before their league name.

Wins & Losses:
For each head-to-head
matchup
, the team with the greater number of points will earn a Win and
the team with the lesser number a
Loss.
During the regular season, if two teams have the same
number of points, each team will get a
Tie,
though we have made the chances of a tie actually
occurring very slim due to our decimal place scoring
(see
below)
. During the playoffs, there are
no ties, and the team with the highest number of points scored by its 'reserve' players in that
playoff game will be the winner. If this doesn't break the tie, then the team with the higher
playoff seed gets the Win.
Decimal Scoring:
Though we have established rules if ties do occur (see above), we have
structured our leagues to
make that possibility a minute one. Our scoring system uses two decimal places, there is no
rounding up or down, so every single yard your player earns counts. If your RB rushes for 95
yards, you get 9.5 points, not 9 or 10.
Various Scoring Explanations:
•
Offensive Scoring (QB, RB, WR, TE, K)
-
Any offensive player will receive points for
any offensive statistics they accumulate. If you have Patrick Mahomes as your quarterback,
and he passes for 324 yards and 3 TD, rushes for 37 yar
ds and 1 TD, and also happens to
have 12 yards receiving, his point total for the week would be 35.86. Broken down it
would be: 12.96 (324 yards passing) + 12 (3 passing TD) + 3.7 (37 rushing yards) + 6
(rushing TD) + 1.2 (12 yards receiving) = 35.86.
•
Fumbles Lost
by a player on special teams or defense will lose 2 points if they turn the
ball over to the opposing team. For instance, if you have Tyreek Hill active at WR and
he fumbles the ball away at any time while he is on the field, your team will lose
2 points.
This includes a fumble lost while returning a kick, punt, interception (if your WR were
playing defense) or while on offense at WR.
•
Statistics Corrections
-
Following the completion of
each week's games, all statistics
and point totals are verified, and corrections are made where necessary.
Schedule & Playoffs
"Live Draft", and "Email/Slow Draft" Leagues:
Regular Season: (10, and 12 team leagues.)
The first 13 weeks of the football season represent the regular season for all (non 14-
team) "Live
Draft", and "Email/Slow Draft" Leagues. Each week teams will play another
team within their league in a head-to-head
matchup
. Each team will also play one game weekly
vs. the "League Average". The "League Average" is the average points scored that week by all of
the teams within your fantasy league. So for example, let's say you scored 100 points in week
one, but your head-to-head opponent scored 110 points. You would lose that game, so your
record for the week would be 0-1 currently. However, let's say the "League Average" for the
week is 85 points, you would win that "head-to-head" matchup too, and therefore your record for
week one would be 1-1. The team you lost to that scored 110 points in week one would be 2-0. A
team that scored, say, 65 points that week, and lost their head-to-head matchup, would have also
lost their matchup vs. the "League Average", and therefore would end week one 0-2. After more
than a decade of providing fantasy football leagues, we noticed that having the skill to manage
your fantasy team to be one of the highest scoring teams in the league, often didn't necessarily
mean you would make the postseason. Unlike in "real" football, in fantasy football, you
unfortunately aren't able to stop your opponent from scoring. So if in a few weeks during the
regular season you just happened to be unlucky enough to play THE highest scoring team in the
league, you would be given a loss, despite the fact that you would have beaten every other team
in your league that week. That's a tough pill to swallow if your season is based SOLELY upon
one head-to-head matchup each week. A couple unlucky weeks of unfortunate scheduling can
easily keep the most skilled fantasy owners from the postseason. Our scheduling structure
ensures that the best, most skilled fantasy owners be rewarded for their hard work and effort.
You'll play one game each week vs. another team in your league, and then another vs. the
"League Average", thereby allowing the best of the best, the cream of the crop, to rise to the top!
Playoffs:
The four teams in each Draft League with the best overall records will make the playoffs. Teams
will be seeded one to four with the team with the best record being the #1 seed, while the team
with the fourth best record w
ill be the #4 seed. If there is a tie for a seeding, the following
tiebreakers will be used in order.
1.Total Points Scored
2.Head-to-Head Record
The team with the best record going into the playoffs will be the #1 seed, and the #1 seed will
play the fourth
best team (seed #4) in the first playoff match in Weeks 14 & 15. The second and
third place teams in the standings will be seeded #2 and #3, and will also face each other in
weeks 14 & 15. As fantasy football is a game of skill, not luck, each team will p
lay each other
twice; once in week 14, and once in week 15. Then, the team that scores the most points TOTAL
over the two weeks will advance to the next round. This ensures that, for example, the 4th seed
doesn't have ONE lucky week the same week that the
1st seed had its WORST week, and luck
into the Championship game. We have nothing at all against the 4th seed beating the #1 seed,
this just ensures that if the 4th seed is going to beat the #1 seed, it will be because they are indeed
the strongest team of
the two at that point in the season. The teams with the highest total scores
over weeks 14 and 15 will advance to play each other for the League Championship in weeks 16
and 17. The teams who lost their first round playoff matchups will face each other in
weeks 16 and 17 for the 3rd place prize. Then, once again, the teams with the highest point totals over
weeks 16 and 17 will be our winners. These top four teams make up the Championship Bracket,

14-team Leagues:
Regular Season:
The first 14 weeks of the football season will represent the regular season for all 14-team "Live

team within their league in a head-to-headmatchup
. Each team will also play one game weekly

Playoffs:
The six teams in each 14-team league with the best overall records will make the playoffs, and
the playoffs in our 14-team leagues will begin in week 15 of the regular season, and will be
single-elimination
. Teams will be seeded one to six, with the team with the best record being the
#1 seed, while the team with the sixth best record will be the #6 seed. If there is a tie for a
seeding,
the following tiebreakers will be used in order.
1.Total Points Scored
2.Head-to-Head Record
The team with the best record going into the playoffs will be the #1 seed, and the team with the
second best record after the regular season will be the #2 seed.
The top two seeds will get a BYE
in the first round of the playoffs. Therefore the #3 seed in the playoffs will play the sixth best
team (seed #6), and seed #4 will play seed #5. After week 15 (so in week 16), the #1 seed will
play the lowest ranked seed still in the playoffs, and seed #2 will play the highest ranked seed
still in the playoffs. The winners of these two games will advance to the League Championships
in week 17, while the losers of the week 15 games will play one another in week 17 to claim the
3rd place prize.

"Non-Draft" Leagues:
Our "Non-Draft" Leagues will be structured a little differently than our other Leagues. The "Non-Draft" Leagues will consist of 17 week regular season, with no playoffs. The highest scoring teams at the end of the 17 week regular season will be the winners, along with each high scorer of the week.
Lineup Changes
Weekly Lineups:
Each week owners have the opportunity to select their starting
lineup for the week. GM's only
must submit a player as a starter by the time that player's game begins. For example, if you have
a player playing in a Thursday game, you can either submit just that player in time for their
Thursday game, or you can submit
your entire lineup. Once a player's game begins, he will be
locked in your lineup, but you will however be able to make changes to your other starters all the
way up until their respective games begin. Suppose you have two players on a Monday Night
Football game, and you are unsure which one will be starting. You are able to wait all the way up
until right before
kickoff
to finally choose your starter for that game.
*** If an owner doesn't set their lineup for a particular week, the owner's lineup from the
previous week(s) will be used.
Abandoned Teams:
As is
BestFantasyFootballLeague.com
policy, whenever a team appears to be abandoned, we
reserve the right to submit their starters for them
based upon the players that we deem to have the
best potential for that week. It is unfair for one team to have to play a tough schedule against
teams that are submitting their best lineups weekly, and another team to have a game or two
against a team that
has apparently abandoned their team, and is not submitting a complete, strong
starting lineup weekly. This rule is in place to protect the integrity of our games and leagues. If
any GM notices a team that appears to be abandoned within their league, please contact the staff
at
support@
BestFantasyFootballLeague.com
immediately so that we may enact the
aforementioned policy.
Deadline to Change Status:
You can change the status of the players on your team (i.e
., "active" or "reserve") up to 5 minutes
before that player's NFL team is scheduled to start. While there are benefits to last minute
research, please play it safe and change the status well before this 5-minute window arrives.
BestFantasyFootballLeague
will NOT be responsible if the time you are going by, and the time
that we have are not synchronized.
Waiver Wire:
Free agents will be awarded using a prioritized waiver wire system. Team owners may select free
agents they wish to acquire beginning Tuesday each week. Waiver wire award order will be worst to first by each team's position in the standings. Or, in the preseason, waiver order will be based upon the reverse order of the draft. Player waiver wire requests will be processed shortly after Noon on Thursday, and before the 1pm free agent free for all opening. Team owners will be awarded players in reverse order of standings, worst to first (or reverse of the draft order in the preseason). Each team owner will be awarded a single player. After each team in the league has been awarded a maximum of one player, the process will repeat beginning with the worst team in the league for the next round of waivers. This process will repeat until all player requests have been executed. If a team makes no player requests, that team will not be
awarded any players. After waivers then run, add/drop will be open to first come first serve until kickoff of the Monday night football game. Just keep in mind, to add a player, you of course must have a player who has not yet played to drop.
Free Agent Free For All:
Beginning each Thursday at 1pm ET after waivers have run, add/drop will be open as first come first serve, and you may add players all the way up until a player's game begins that week. Teams may pick up free agents at any time during this free for all period. Team owners may not pick up players once a fantasy player's game begins.
Protected Free Agents:
In order to prevent collusion or coordinated drop trades, any player released from any roster via
the waiver wire or the free for all free agent period shall remain a protected free agent until the
first waiver wire of the following week. This means the player will not be available to be
acquired by any team in the week the player was dropped. This
applies only to players that have
been on a team's roster for at least one fantasy week.
Trades:
No trades are allowed after NFL week 11 kickoffs, after that SUNDAY that is, 1pm ET.
Once a trade is agreed upon by two owners it is executed immediately
. Please be cognizant
of this, as it can
have its drawbacks too. For example, if you propose a trade to an owner in the
middle of the week, and the owner finally accepts the trade on Sunday at 12:45pm ET for
instance, the trade will be executed immediately, and the players involved in the trade
promptly
swapped teams. If the players involved in the trade were in your starting lineup, they will be
removed from your starting lineup, and it will be up to you to submit new starters by the time
your players' games begin. If you've proposed a trade, you must be aware of the status of the
trade, and make the necessary changes to your starting lineup if the trade is accepted, OR rescind
the trade if you no longer wish to offer the trade.
IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE
THE NECESSARY CHANGES TO YOUR STARTING LINEUP SHOULD YOU BE
INVOLVED IN ANY TRADE THAT MAY EFFECT THAT WEEK'S LINEUP.
Lastly, after any trade has gone through, if any owner feels that the trade was unquestionably
one-sided and/or possibly collusive, they have the right to vote to veto any
trade. Their vote to
veto must be emailed within 48 hours of the trade being consummated to
support@BestFantasyFootballLeague.com
. An owners vote to veto must contain the following...
• 1.The league number.
• 2.Your team name.
• 3.Trade you are disputing
• 4.Which team you feel got the one-sided part of the trade.
If the majority of owners within that league (not including the owners actually involved in the
trade) vote to veto the trade, the trade will be retroactively overturned. In extreme circumstances
where a trade has been made that is ridiculously one
-
sided and/or potentially collusive in nature,
BestFantasyFootballLeague.com
has the "Supreme Power of Veto", and the ability to overturn
such trades immediately, without any voting process by the league owners. However, this
is the
exception, certainly not the rule, and we therefore encourage all GM's who feel any trades are
unfair, to email us with their vote to veto as soon as such trades occur.
*** IF A TEAM CONTINUES TO ENGAGE IN ONE-SIDED, POTENTIALLY COLLUSIVE TRADES, AFTER BEING ASKED NOT TO MORE THAN ONCE BY US, YET THEY CONTINUE TO DISREGARD OUR WARNINGS, AND CONTINUE TO MAKE ONE-SIDED, POTENTIALLY COLLUSIVE TRADES WHICH THREATEN THE INTEGRITY OF THEIR LEAGUE, THEY WILL BE SUBJECT TO THE POSSIBILITY OF EXPULSION FROM THE LEAGUE. YOUR ABILITY TO TRADE IN OUR LEAGUES IS A PRIVILEGE, NOT A RIGHT. THERE ARE A LOT OF SITES WHERE TRADING IS NOT ALLOWED AT ALL. WE ARE NOT ONE OF THEM. ANOTHER REASON WHY WE ARE INDEED THE BEST. HOWEVER, TRADING CAN NOT BE ABUSED. YOUR TRADES CAN BE OVERTURNED. WE RUN THESE LEAGUES, YOU DO NOT. YOU PARTICIPATE IN THEM, AND IN DOING SO, AGREE TO ABIDE BY OUR RULES, AND STRUCTURE, OR FACE THE CONSEQUENCES, IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN FAIR PLAY. CONTINUAL ABUSE OF OUR TRADING PRIVILEGES, CAN RESULT IN EXPULSION FROM OUR LEAGUES. YOUR ENTRY FEE WILL NOT BE RETURNED, YOUR TEAM WILL BE MANAGED FOR YOUR FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR BY OUR LEAGUE OFFICE, AND WE WILL MAIL ANY WINNINGS TO YOUR AFTER THE SEASON IS OVER, SHOULD YOU EARN A PRIZE.
MORAL OF THE STORY - We run these leagues, the participants do not, and we WILL DO everything necessary to uphold the integrity of our leagues for all members within them. We like to allow you all to have your own perspectives on players, however, once you engage in unquestionably unfair trades, they will be overturned, and continual abuse of this privilege, will result in your expulsion from the league.
